Pre-School Graduation Project and Video #103

Happy Saturday everyone!  I hope you are having a wonderful start to this Memorial Day week-end.

I am so happy to share this project with you that I created for my twin nieces who just graduated pre-school and will begin Kindergarten in the fall.  They are not only special because they are my nieces but also because from the very beginning they had a rough start.  They were born 3-months prematurely when my sister-in-law was only 26 weeks.  She went into pre-term labor and it was unable to be stopped sooooo....needless to say they were born in July when they were supposed to be born in October.  I call them my little "firecracker babies" because they popped out on July 4th.  Ü  They remained in NICU for 3 months and when they came home it was a glorious day.  I credit my brother and SIL for a tremendous job of keeping these little girls as healthy as they could.  Anyone who's had a premature baby can understand how important it is to keep them away from EVERYTHING so their immune systems can develop.  This year on July 4th they will turn 5 years old....YAY!  They are celebrating with a Strawberry Shortcake birthday theme and how appropriate when they come driving around in their pink mustang (remote control car) it's soooo fun to watch them drive all around the yard.

For this project.....I create individual gifts to celebrate their recent graduation from pre-school and are ready to start kindergarten in the fall.  Thanks for your comments everyone....I so appreciate them.  Ü

Birthday Goodies Shopping Trip and Cricut Cake - Oooooh La La!

Hi everyone and happy Monday!

Yesterday was my birthday and I had the most awesome day.  I was so excited that my b-day fell on a Sunday so that I could do a few of favorite things.....go to Church with my family and shop!  LOL.....It's a bummer when we are stuck at work on our birthday....ha!  Thanks for letting me share this with you.

First of all I wanted to go to Archiver's which is a total and complete scrapbooking store.  You can check out the store by visiting the online site and check for a location near you.  Click HERE for that.  There is only 2 Arvhiver's in the state of Texas and I am sooooo fortunate to have both of them within driving distance.  Katy, Texas and Cedar Park, Texas YAY!

After my trip to Archiver's we headed to Michael's with the closest store located off Westheimer Pkwy which is still in Katy, Texas. It was truly my lucky day because as we were walking into the Michael's store this adorable red-headed beauty was setting up her display table to demonstrate the Cricut Cake.....OMGoodness I hit the jack-pot.  I was sooooo super excited and my husband and son were like "what-eeeever mom"!!!! LOL
I've seen the Cricut Cake online and HSN but to see it demoed in person is awesome and was truly fitting to see it in action on my birthday.  I am one lucky crafter.  Alisa K. did an awesome job and ProvoCraft, if you're reading this - she is an awesome demonstrator.  Ü
Alisa and I struck up a conversation and got to know each other a little better.  I got her permission to post these pictures here on my blog  and told her that I would share that she is not only a demonstrator in the Cricut Cake but all of the other ProvoCraft machines as well including the Gypsy and Yudo.  She will be offering demonstratioins every Sunday afternoon at the Michael's store off Westheimer Pkwy. in Katy, Texas beginning around 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.  Even though she will be demo-ing the Cricut Cake she can answer questions about other machines as well.

If you are in that area be sure to stop by.

Below is a video of goodies I found during my shopping trip on my birthday. I will tell you though that I was surprised that the Archiver's in Katy, Texas has a small Cricut section; not that I was going to buy a whole lot anyway but that's beside the point!  HA!  Thanks for letting me share it with you. Ü

Then....when I returned from shopping I got to spend the evening with my little guy Spencer....he stayed with Aunt Tina while mom went shopping and I don't think he missed me toooo much as he was swimming in her pool along with his big cousins.  LOL....he's a charectar....we'll be back soon with another Kids Craft Too video (or as he says BID-eo).....Ü

♥ Royal Flush Card & Video #95 ♥

In my most recent Sunday Share I showed you the card I made for my Mom for Mother's Day.  My mom loves to go to play poker and she and my dad travel to the casino's to have fun.  It's how they like to spend their time so it's okay with me.  LOL  Anyhoo's, I made this card to represent a Royal Flush which is the highest winning hand in Poker and the inside tells her that SHE is the Royal Flush in our lives.  It is so true.  My mom is wonderful and we are so lucky to have her.

I put together a little slide show of the details....I hope it gives you a little inspiration to make a special card too.

Have a super night everyone and I will be back tomorrow to announce my winner in the Mother's Day Give-Away!  I had 42 entries and am in awe at the talent displayed by the entries....WOW!

♥ Sunday Share 5.9.10 ♥

Hi everyone and welcome to another Sunday Share at CJToo's blog.  Happy Mother's Day!
Every Sunday I have been blogging about "stuff" I've learned about, discovered and or got excited about during the previous week so thanks for reading along.

♥ YouTube ♥
I am so excited to have reached 1000 subscribers on YouTube ~ WOW!  I am thrilled to have this happen on Mother's Day.  If you are one of those 1000 subscribers ♥thank you♥.

♥ Dedication to my Mom ♥

I am so fortunate to have a great mom.  She is the cutest ever!  Very fashionable, loves go shopping and dress up.  She makes people laugh all of the time and always knows what to say at the "right" time to make me feel better.  She and my dad have had their own business for over 18 years.  They know what true customer service is all about and my mom knows how to put a smile on everyone's face.

Here is a picture of my mom at her birthday in February.  Isn't she a doll?  Of course they put the BIG OLE hat on her head as we sang Happy Birthday to her.  LOL

(a picture of her birthday in February)
Here is the card I made her for Mother's Day.  My mom LOVES to go to Las Vegas and she and my dad make interim trips to Louisiana to visit the casino's....it makes her happy so I am glad for her.  She likes the slot machines but prefers to play the poker machines instead always looking for the Royal Flush....(which is the highest hand in poker).  When I am making a card for someone I try to make it about something they like and this is where I get my inspiration....soooo I designed this card with the Poker "Royal Flush" in mind.  She is definitely the Royal Flush in our lives.  She loves a winning hand but spades seem to be her favorite so I created this special card just for her.
Yes, she LOVED it.  I will post the details of how and what I did this week.  Ü

 ♥ Thanks and Kudo's ♥

♥ Teacher Appreciation Bouquet & Card ♥

Recently many of you may have seen the video my little guy Spencer and I did for My Pink Stamper's NSD celebration to initiate Challenge #6 - Kids Craft Too.  You can view that HERE.  He and I had sooo much fun making flowers that we turned into lollipop flowers.  He will take them to school tomorrow which is the last day of Teacher Appreciation week for our little ones.  I finished up the bouquet and also created a card to go along with the gift and wanted to show you.  What do you think?

Lollipop Flower Bouquet

Flowers are cut from Hello Kitty Greetings on card function at 2 1/2 inches.  The leaf was trimmed off with scissors.  - various colors of pink cardstock.  I used 3 different colors to mix and match.

To adhere the teddy bear and banner together I used a large stick (looks like a tongue depressor) - cut one end at a point so that you can insert it into the foam for stability.
