Pre-School Graduation Project and Video #103

Happy Saturday everyone!  I hope you are having a wonderful start to this Memorial Day week-end.

I am so happy to share this project with you that I created for my twin nieces who just graduated pre-school and will begin Kindergarten in the fall.  They are not only special because they are my nieces but also because from the very beginning they had a rough start.  They were born 3-months prematurely when my sister-in-law was only 26 weeks.  She went into pre-term labor and it was unable to be stopped sooooo....needless to say they were born in July when they were supposed to be born in October.  I call them my little "firecracker babies" because they popped out on July 4th.  Ü  They remained in NICU for 3 months and when they came home it was a glorious day.  I credit my brother and SIL for a tremendous job of keeping these little girls as healthy as they could.  Anyone who's had a premature baby can understand how important it is to keep them away from EVERYTHING so their immune systems can develop.  This year on July 4th they will turn 5 years old....YAY!  They are celebrating with a Strawberry Shortcake birthday theme and how appropriate when they come driving around in their pink mustang (remote control car) it's soooo fun to watch them drive all around the yard.

For this project.....I create individual gifts to celebrate their recent graduation from pre-school and are ready to start kindergarten in the fall.  Thanks for your comments everyone....I so appreciate them.  Ü

Valentine Tractor Goodie Bags

Staying with Spencers Big Green Tractor theme this year I made individual goodies bags for each child in his pre-school class.  15 in all (thanks goodness)  LOL.  Using the tractor from Everyday Paper Dolls - cut at 3 inches.  The wheels I drew circles out of black cardstock and cut around the edges with decorative edge scissors that the edges a rough look; ran the wheels through my Cuttlebug using the bubbles cuttlebug folder.  The yellow hearts are punches; this gave each tractor the yellow that's inside the JDeere tractor wheels.  I personalized each tractor tag/bag with the childs name.  The paper is red/white checkered scrapbook paper trimmed to the size of the bag.  Another decorative edge scissor with a jagged affect trimmed off the edges.

I had a lot of fun working with the little guy this year on valentine treats and stuff but whew - glad it's almost time to move onto something else.  LOL.

Sorry the lighting isn't the best - I quickly took this picture as we were heading out the door on our way to school.  Ü  Didn't want to forget to show my CJToo friends!

~ Valentine Tractor Box for School ~

Hello......

My little guy and I had a fun time putting together this valentine box for him to take to school for his friends to put in their valentine's.  When the teacher sent home the note that each child needed to bring a decorated box for their valentine exchange I said YEA!......I knew it would be a fun project.  Spencer looooooves John Deere tractors and his favorite song right now is Big Green Tractor by Jason Aldean, a country music singer.  He will sit and watch the video on YouTube forever, if I'd let him.....well, not really but it's his favorite song.  He goes around the house singing "I'll take you for a ride on my Big Green Tractor", grabs his guitar and play microphone and has a ball.....so I knew exactly what I wanted to do to decorate his box this year.

This is the video he watches over and over and over again......Big Green Tractor by Jason Aldean

Cricut Project Video #28 - Everyday Paper Dolls Cheerleader Project

Give me a P....give me an R....give me an O....give me an V....give me an O - add Craft and what does that spell? Goooooo Provo Craft! They've done it again with a super new cartridge called Everyday Paper Dolls. It is an awesome cartridge that is chocked full of images, accessories and functions that can transform a plain paper doll into a master piece that will highlight memories for years to come.

This cute little cheerleader will be the front cover project for a scrapbook I am putting together for my niece who made cheerleader this school year. She's in 7th grade so you know there will be lots of pictures and stuff to journal about. I will take more pictures of the booklet once I get it finished.

In the video I show you what I use as well as the sizes for everything. One thing I did forget to mention is that I used crystal stickles to accent and highlight some of the items.

Thanks for watching everyone.

I love your comments and read every single one of them. You Rock!
