[Turkey Poop Mini Cups] with 8x10 Poem includes Free Printables

This post may look a little familiar but I assure you that it's a little different.  The other day I shared my version of Turkey Poop Poem with free printable [thank you for your sweet comments] and today I wanted to share a smaller variation with you.

I thought this would be a great idea to make up some of these little cups to have on the side table or dessert table for your Thanksgiving guests.  Instead of attaching a poem to each cup (like I did on the goodie bag) I created an 8" x 10" poem to print and insert into a frame.  Your guests can read the little poem when they grab a mini-cup.  =)

{Turkey Poop} Tags & Goodie Bags with Free Printable

If you're looking for a cute way to liven up your Thanksgiving table, hand out treats to friends, or just get a little laugh -- here is a cute idea.

Chocolate covered candies such as whoppers and milk duds work great for this treat but any chocolate candy will work.

The little tag says:

You invited me to dinner
with your family and your friends.
You didn't say I was the main dish
For me it was "THE END"

You frightened me so badly
I knew I had been duped!
So I left you with my calling card
this bag of Turkey Poop!

Cute and fun, huh?!

{Fall Pumpkin} Treat Holders

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

These treat holders are so easy to make and can be easily adapted to any season or event.

Chevron patterns (like I used for the paper) seem to be everywhere in decorating nowadays and I didn't care for it much in the beginning….that surprises me because I l.o.v.e. ric rack, squiggles and wavy lines…..but this pattern has grown on me.

The pattern paper is one I found in the My Memories Suite shop and printed out an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of it.  I got 3 treat holders out of 1 sheet.

Aren't they so cute?  {love}
I've included a free printable for you…. so feel free to print as many as you'd like for yourself or kiddo's.

{Mini Halloween Goodie Bags} ~ Pockets Made from Envelopes

We are only days away from Halloween 2012 and that means if you need a quick and simple way to package up little treats here is a crafty idea for you.
I started with plain letter envelopes, sealed them and them cut in half with decorative scissors to make 2 pockets.  For the handle I stapled ribbon or rick rack to the pocket before covering it with scrapbook paper.  For the "pumpkin" pocket I tied brown ribbon for the handle. The halloween face stamps are from Michaels Craft Store and sentiments are from My Pink Stamper.

{Candy Corn Poem} Treats

You all know how much I love creating goodies bags and when I picked up a package of Candy Corn from the grocery store I wanted to find something different to make with them.  I "googled" and searched online "Candy Corn Poems" and these Candy Corn Poem Bag Toppers were the very first ones I found.  {love it!}  Even better -- they have a free download where I could print them from my home computer (4 to a page).
Very easy to do and I think there will be perfect for my Sunday School class as well as my friends at work.

{Back to School} Let's Roll into School Teacher Gift with Tag Printable

For this year's "Meet the Teacher" night I wanted to create a special gift for Spencer's Kindergarten teacher.  I really like to personalize my gifts so that they can keep them for years to come.  This is what I came up with this year.  Each side is decorated in a school themed image.  I love "play on words" so I created the Let's Roll into School tag because I was filling the jar with Tootsie Rolls.  ☺

I found this square glass jar at Dollar Tree.  I really liked the size and thought of so many ways to decorate it.  Decisions! Decisions!

Here is my supplies.

I wrapped Washi Tape around the outside of my glass jar.
Works WONDERFUL!

To decorate the outside of the jar ~ I decided to cut out vinyl images on my Cricut and layered them on each side of the glass jar.
Apple & School Bus ~ Doodlecharms by Cricut
ABC ~ Recess Lite by Cricut
Chalkboard ~ George and Basic Shapes by Cricut
(I used 2 rounded rectangles making one a little smaller to fit inside)

Side 1 with Chalkboard
Side 2 with Apple
Side 3 with School Bus -- personalized with School Name!
Check out my "blingy" hubcaps - (love)
Side 4 - ABC letters
I filled a plastic treat bag with yummy Tootsie Rolls and tied various ribbons to close the top.

Here is the tag I created to go along with the gift.   I attached it to the bag of tootsie rolls using red & white twine.

Feel free to download this free tag and use it for yourself.

{Personal use only please}

Right click and save as to your computer.
Insert into a word document or other source and print your tag.
I hope you've enjoyed today's project and thank you so much for your comments.

Decorated {Cookie} Box for Man Gift - Recycle and Re-Use

Recently, while we were on vacation my father-in-law stopped by every morning and night to ensure our critters were fed and taken good care of.  {We have 2 dogs and 2 fair show pigs so that’s why you’ll see these animals on the box below.}  As a little token of appreciation we baked him up some yummy cookies.  Once the cookies were baked.....I had to decide how to give them to him.  Such fun decisions! ☺

I thought about many different ways we could dress them up .... like put them in a bag, on a plate or platter and then I came up with this idea of decorating a box and put the baked cookies inside.  The cookies are a variety of Ready to Bake frozen cookie dough that I purchased from my son as a fundraiser through school.  The athletic department was selling cookie dough to raise money for their athletic program.

Simple and easy -- definitely my way of baking cookies, just take them out of the freezer and put them on a cookie sheet and bake for 15 mins.  :)
This project is more about how I decorated the box top (that I put the baked cookies in).  The box is actually one from the frozen cookie dough.  These cardboard boxes are sturdy and such a shame to waste.  They already have the brown striped design on the sides so I played along with what was already there and just had to cover the top and front side with scrapbook paper.

Yummy goodies inside!

Supplies to make top of box:
Since the edges of the box had these adorable brown stripes I just measured the scrapbook paper for the top and front side.  I used the brown ink to ink around edges of box {this helps hide any missed spots or to distress the entire box blending all of the colors together.}

Here is a closer look….

Have a great day everyone!

  • Cut scrapbook paper the size you’d like and bend over each corner; attach a brad for extra decoration.
  • Stamp purse image with darkest night black ink onto white card stock, color with ProMarkers, cut image out with scissors.
  • Using 1 1/2” punch - punch out one circle in white.  Using “Fashionista” stamp curve to fit and stamp onto circle.  Ink edges with charcoal gray and make dashes using brown marker.  Glue pink jewel in center.  Attach to center of pink felt flower and attach flower to front of bag.  Loop purse strap around petal of flower and attach a glue dot to keep in place.
  • Working on the bottom of the bag refer to picture for exact placement of stamps, brads and scrapbook paper.  The bottom flap of the bag provides a nice “pocket” for my gift card.

T-Ball Baseball Goodie Bags

My sweet sports star Spencer is playing his first year of t-ball and the parents take turns bringing an "after game" snack for each kiddo.  When it was our turn you know I just can't hand each player a pkg. of crackers or brownie -- I need to dress it up, right?? lol!!

Here is what I did.  You will be amazed how simple, easy and fast these bags were to make.

I started with plain white lunch bags, cut out a 4" circle template from my Martha Stewart Circle cutter and traced the circle onto the white bag for the "ball".

I then used a red marker to draw the "baseball" lines of a half circle and then added dashes on the lines to give the ball a realistic effect.  See -- easy peasy!

I love to give a sweet message with my goodie bags so I am using the sentiment "Be the Best YOU you can Be!" -- found on the new set My Pink Stamper collection "Never Give Up".  I also added "ALL STAR" from My Pink Stamper's Boy Crazy collection.  I love how you can mix messages up from all of Robyn's collections!

And lastly I wanted to share a picture of my sweet boy Spencer -- he was a big help putting the goodie bags together.  His teammates loved them!  :)

Linking up this project at these fun parties!

Much love and I'll be back soon!
♥Tracy
