Country Christmas at Craft Junkie Too!!
Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas -- we sure did. Lots of family time and lots of yummy food, entertainment, and all around good times. Its great to get together and have fun!
I wanted to share a few pictures of my Country Christmas decor with you. I'm a true country crafter through and through and it works for me!
My tree has tons of ornaments…..I actually put on ornaments for days - literally….I'd do a few, quit and return later or the next day. It was so fun. I have a EZ Rotating Tree stand (got mine at Garden Ridge Pottery about 5 years ago and paid 89.00 -- they've come down about 20 bucks since then) and my whole tree rotates -- I love sitting on my sofa watching my tree and admiring all of my special ornaments. It's definitely one of my essential Christmas decorating items I must have! Most of these ornaments were given to me, handmade by friends, a few are purchased but not many.

{Holiday Pretzel Kisses} - Last Minute Gift Idea or Party Snack!!
I was totally inspired to make these {Holiday Pretzel Kisses} when I spotted this adorable cello goodie bag on Pinterest which led me to the fantabulous blog Little Birdie Secrets. Of course I had to find out how to make these because I knew they would be a hit for my crew! I have several office parties as well as family gatherings coming up this week so I bought the ingredients and this is my take on this super easy treat. Here is the goodie bag from Little Birdie Secrets.

An Update & Christmas Craft Show
Hi everyone ~ I hope you are all doing well! Just a quick update on me and my world. Spencer is doing well and adjusting to his meds to treat his ADHD as well as can be expected. We continue to see improvements in his behavior at school and home because he isn't always getting into trouble….It's definitely building his self-esteem and self-confidence. We had a fall parent/teacher conference last week and his teacher had the best things to say about his attitude, behavior and interaction with other kids. She actually called him a "star student", fast worker and is ready for kindergarten. whoooo momma -- never thought I'd hear that…. We are truly blessed. We continue to work on good choices and not pushing the boundaries quite as much. Thank you to everyone who sent me messages, commented, and for your unspoken thoughts and prayers. I am truly grateful for each and every one of you.

Pinkalicious Blog Hop - November
Welcome to the November edition of the Pinkalicious Blog Hop hosted by Robyn, My Pink Stamper. If you're following the hop you should have arrived from Sharon's blog.
For my project I chose to make a 12 x 12 scrapbook layout featuring sentiments from the new set More Fabulous Phrases (see photo below) and the adorable elephant from Birthday Bash by Cricut.
This sentiment is from the new set "That's Punnylicious" set that Robyn also released recently -- I just cut the stamp so I could use it the way I wanted.
Now it's time to continue the hop over the ROBERTA'S blog to see what my sweet friend created.

Using those Scrap Cuts!
We all have them; lots of them….don't we?? Well at least I do. Lots of "extra cuts" from paper that I cut on my cricut machine of projects that were never completed, images cut too big or too small, or I "changed my mind" cuts.
So I have a big ole drawer that I throw all of those cuts into to use "later"….maybe…. or to keep things straight…. if it's a project with a specific theme I will use plastic ziploc bags to keep matching pieces together for a later date. I then put the bags in the drawer, write on them with a black marker what they are, cartridge, size, etc.
Now….onto today's project….last week, one of Spencer's school projects included a homework assignment to "Disguise Tom Turkey so he doesn't get picked for Thanksgiving Dinner" -- some examples included a dog, cat, sheep, barbie, super hero…. let your imagination sore……so the first thing I did was go to my "extra scrap cuts" drawer and let Spencer pick out a few "extra" cuts to "disquise" his paper turkey. Now….let's get started…..it should be no surprise though -- he picked all cowboy cuts…. and these were left over from some of his birthday party invitations from several years ago. Plain paper turkey was going to become "Cowboy Tom" by adding boots, pants, chaps, shirt, bandana, hat and some jute rope -- hoping not to get picked for Thanksgiving dinner. YEE HAW!
He colored all of the feathers and mom added a few doodles to complete his project.
So fun!
Just an idea that those extra cuts can come in handy when we least expect it.

"That's Punnylicious" Animal Cards!!
I'm super excited to show you these fun animal cards I created using the brand new stamp set by My Pink Stamper, "That's Punnylicious"! This set is packed full of fun "puns" that can be used for many occasions including birthday, get well, friendship, encouragement, admiration, love, good luck and many many more. Kids and adults alike -- love getting funny cards or gifts so this set is perfect to add to your stamp collection.
I pulled out an oldie but goodie Cricut cartridge -- "Animal Kingdom" to create these fun cards. On each animal there is a button that has just the "head" of the animal. Our Cricut cartridges have so many "hidden" treasures on them.
Each card is about 2.75" x 4.25" which makes them perfect for bag toppers or to slip in a gift bag.
The cow is on page 85 of Animal Kingdom. For her mouth I used my copic markers in flesh colors. I used rose chalk for her cheeks and the inside of her ears. My black & white markers are the finishing touches for doodling. "Thank Moo" is the perfect sentiment for this sweet cow.
"Feeling Trunky" is one of my favorite sentiments on this stamp set. I just knew I had to make an elephant card showing off this special sentiment. The elephant head is on page 102 of Animal Kingdom.
"Hog Tied" cracks me up because we just spent several months raising pigs to show in the county fair this past September. It was so fun to see those pigs grow from a feisty little piglet into a full grown pig. It took lots of work on my hub's and son's part and I bet they felt hog tied many times!! The pig head can be found on page 83 in Animal Kingdom.
Last but not least ….how sweet is this little sheep -- she just wants to let someone know how much "Ewe are loved". The Sheep's head is on page 88 of Animal Kingdom. I used the "Herringbone" cuttlebug folder on her hair and a pink marker for her nose. I also used rose chalk for her cheeks and inside of her ears.
Here is a closer look at this stamp set -- I see more fun projects coming soon!
