25th Wedding Anniversary Card

I wanted to share with you a card I made to celebrate a couple's 25th Wedding Anniversary.  The person I made it for (to give to the couple) chose the colors white and silver.  I think it turned out beautiful (if I say so myself).  I hope you like it too.

  • The card measures 5 x 7 and I rounded the top corners with my large Martha Stewart corner rounder.
  • The pattern paper is by Martha Stewart.
  • I used glitter white for top layer of 25 and gray for shadow 25.
  • The curly cue heart stamp is from my stash (I think I picked it up at Michael's a long time ago) - I inked it in gray ink.
  • The 25 is cut from Storybook cricut cartridge - regular and shadow
  • The ribbon is from Wal-Mart's after Christmas sale last year.  I think it brings the entire card together.
  • The corner punch is by Martha Stewart.
  • I inked up the edges with gray ink and doodled up with my silver pen.
  • I put a clear gem in the middle of the bow to hide the knot -- works great!

Thank you so much for leaving me your comments -- they REALLY mean a lot to me.

Monogrammed Wedding Gift and Bride & Groom Card

When I found out a friend and co-worker was getting married I knew I had to make one of these monogrammed gifts for her new home -- I just couldn't decide between which one to make?? I've seen so many in the stores and on the web.  Tip:  If you Google what you're looking for click "search" and then select "images" in the left column -- Google will pull up pictures for you.  For example - I typed in Monogrammed Wedding Gifts and I got lots of ideas for inspiration on the image screen.  Oh my….now……decisions.decisions.decisions!!  I was totally inspired by this one that I spotted over at Dittle Dattle.   It was exactly what I was looking for.  Google search to the rescue again!

I started with a board that was a chalkboard - it measures about 11 x17.  All I needed to do was paint the rim black.

I designed everything on my Gypsy and cut it out with my Cricut Expression using white vinyl.

white flowers are from a spool of ribbon - I just tied the teal ribbon in between for a gathered look.
Teal and black are the colors of the wedding.

To separate the letters on the M I used a very thin black sharpie maker to draw around the letter.  I also did a little doodling on the M to tie it all together.  Did you spot my "bling" on the M.  I love it!

Wedding Dress and Groom Tux ~ Sweehearts Cricut cartridge
For some of the layers I used glitter paper I get from Target like on the wedding dress, veil, and the grooms jacket (lapels part), I used black diamond stickles to make dots on cuffs and buttons on grooms jacket.

Border punch is from EK Success - Scroll & Dots

Sentiment is from Happiest Moments Stamp set by My Pink Stamper

For the inside of the card I took a regular envelope, sealed the back (flap) and cut off a 1/4 of it to make an opening and give a "pocket" look and feel.  I took my 1 1/2" circle punch and punched a 1/2 circle at the top of the opening so I could slip in a little "something something" for the bride and groom.  To decorate the pocket I inked up the edges with some gray ink, doodled with my black marker and cut a piece of the same pattern paper to attach to the middle of the pocket.  The "Love is a circle without an end" is from the  My Pink Stamper stamp set "Love a licious".  Click here to see more.   stamp sets.

"Just Married" Old Car Wedding Card with Silver Bells (Cans)

Hi everyone...Happy Saturday afternoon....

We have a wedding to attend this evening for a daughter of some friends....of course I wait until this morning to think about making a card and I do work the best under pressure and produce these results. I just love love love how this card turned out. I had a vision of an old car, --- the back in as a matter of fact with "Just Married" across the back glass and cans dangling from curly ribbon.
Well, this is what I produced from my vision.......I used some pop dots on the back glass and fenders to make them stand out a bit - oh yes, and the date too. I shaded with ink, colored pencils and of course, added my squiggles and detailing with black sharpies and my white pen. I also ran several of the pieces through my cuttlebug for some added dimension. red stickles add the bling for the tail lights and crystal stickles for extra bling around the fenders...The "trunk" opens to reveal "congrats" and our names. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think..... Oh, and what about the "threds" on the tires? Shading with white and added detailing with my white pen. I wish I could have recorded this project for you but there wasn't much time today....sorry. ÜÜÜ

For the Bride to Be.....Card

A friend's daughter is getting married soon and I am invited to her bridal shower this Sunday. I wanted to make a card but didn't quite know what I wanted to make.
I couldn't find any bridal shower things that popped out at me so I decided on a happy couple. I came up with this card and I think it turned out "okay". The crystal stickles really give the brides dress some zing and bling. Stickles is glitter glue found at craft stores. I haven't seen it at Wal-Mart yet - but that doesn't mean they are not there. I love it how it brings your creation to life.

I used the bride and groom off of the Solutions Wedding cartridge. Cut at 3" and then used the shadow feature also.
