{Give Thanks Charger} Home Decor

Hi everyone!  I shared this Home Decor item over at A Rosie Sweet Home a few weeks ago and wanted to share it here on my blog also.

-------------
I love fall.  It's my favorite holiday/season to decorate for.  I love the combination of colors and scents of the season.
I've created a home decor piece that I can use all the way through Thanksgiving and I really like the idea of having it displayed in our dining room for all to see.
I picked up several of these orange chargers from Michael's several weeks ago when they were $1.00 each.  (they are regularly $1.99).  I cut out all of the vinyl cuts using my Cricut die cut machine.  I then added some bling and ribbon to finish off this festive creation.

{Personalized} Kids Beach Chair using Vinyl

Turn an ordinary kid's beach chair into an extra-ordinary gift by adding a name using vinyl.  Everyone loves having their name on their “stuff”.  I guess it's a sense of ownership and letting everyone know “that’s mine!”.

Supplies
  • kids beach chair - Wal-Mart
  • white vinyl
  • painters tape or transfer tape
  • name (Caden) - Sesame Street Font - Sunny Day
I cut out the name using my die cutting machine cricut and Sunny Day font found on Sesame Street Font cartridge.  To cut vinyl -- my settings are speed 4 and pressure 2 on my machine for the “kiss cut”.  I also used the multi-cut of 2 to get an extra kiss cut.  I used the painter’s tape to transfer the name to the chair.

To finish.....
Add a beach towel and you have the perfect gift for a special little person.  It would be fun to add sunglasses, water bottle, flip flops or more summer items.   Make it fun!
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Monogrammed Wedding Gift and Bride & Groom Card

When I found out a friend and co-worker was getting married I knew I had to make one of these monogrammed gifts for her new home -- I just couldn't decide between which one to make?? I've seen so many in the stores and on the web.  Tip:  If you Google what you're looking for click "search" and then select "images" in the left column -- Google will pull up pictures for you.  For example - I typed in Monogrammed Wedding Gifts and I got lots of ideas for inspiration on the image screen.  Oh my….now……decisions.decisions.decisions!!  I was totally inspired by this one that I spotted over at Dittle Dattle.   It was exactly what I was looking for.  Google search to the rescue again!

I started with a board that was a chalkboard - it measures about 11 x17.  All I needed to do was paint the rim black.

I designed everything on my Gypsy and cut it out with my Cricut Expression using white vinyl.

white flowers are from a spool of ribbon - I just tied the teal ribbon in between for a gathered look.
Teal and black are the colors of the wedding.

To separate the letters on the M I used a very thin black sharpie maker to draw around the letter.  I also did a little doodling on the M to tie it all together.  Did you spot my "bling" on the M.  I love it!

Wedding Dress and Groom Tux ~ Sweehearts Cricut cartridge
For some of the layers I used glitter paper I get from Target like on the wedding dress, veil, and the grooms jacket (lapels part), I used black diamond stickles to make dots on cuffs and buttons on grooms jacket.

Border punch is from EK Success - Scroll & Dots

Sentiment is from Happiest Moments Stamp set by My Pink Stamper

For the inside of the card I took a regular envelope, sealed the back (flap) and cut off a 1/4 of it to make an opening and give a "pocket" look and feel.  I took my 1 1/2" circle punch and punched a 1/2 circle at the top of the opening so I could slip in a little "something something" for the bride and groom.  To decorate the pocket I inked up the edges with some gray ink, doodled with my black marker and cut a piece of the same pattern paper to attach to the middle of the pocket.  The "Love is a circle without an end" is from the  My Pink Stamper stamp set "Love a licious".  Click here to see more.   stamp sets.

Decorating Car with Vinyl for All Stars!

My nephew made the All-Star baseball team again this year and it's a tradition in the community to decorate the windows of your vehicle to support your kid.  It's - a - very - big - deal!!!
Most of the people use paint but my sister just got a brand new Tahoe oh about 4-5 months ago and she said "no paint" so I put my Cricut machine and Gypsy to work.
The decorated windows are seen from all (except windsheild) windows decorated to just the back glass - which my sister opted to do this year.  I think it turned out super cute.

I designed everything in my Gypsy and then cut it out on my Cricut machine.

My sister ran into a RAIN shower on the way to my house -- and I wanted to show you HOW WELL the vinyl sticks on your vehicle even after getting wet.

● Baseball ~ Baseball Solutions
(I did use red paint to draw the lines of the ball)
● Flames on ball ~ Indie Art Solutions

● WC for Washington County ~ Gypsy Font
● All Stars, Rylan & #13 ~ Mickey Font
● Stars ~ Baseball Solutions

This All-Star team has been playing together since 2009 (just a few changes) - HERE are the baseballs I painted for them.  You can see how they hang them on the fence during their game HERE a well as the first year I painted my sister's car.  In 2010 I used the Cricut Lite cartridge Varsity Letter to decorate her car ~ click HERE to see that.

Here is my All-Star nephew Rylan!!  Go Boy!

I'm linking up to these parties this week....you should too....

Sour Cream Container "Love" Valentine Treats

Happy Tuesday!

I hope you enjoy my project for the My Pink Stamper's Design Team project today.... .I just love how they turned out.  Our team assignment was to use the following in our project.
I love to *Trash to Treasure* items ....you know...to "take this" and "make that" out of it.  It is so fun!  So, I made these valentine goodie treats to look like little sour cream containers out of those cardboard paper towel tubes.  Instead of throwing them out....make something out of them!

I've also included the video below if you're interested in how I put it together.  Ü

Valentine Treats!

♥ Cricut Lite Varsity Letter for Car Vinyl ♥

Hi everyone and Happy 4th of July week-end!
Here is a project I did for my sister's car using the Cricut Lite cartridge Varsity Letter. In our area All-Star baseball is HUGE and supporting our All-Star teams is a big deal so all of the parents ride around with their car windows painted up.  Last year I painted her car windows - you can see that by clicking HERE but this year I used vinyl and the Cricut Lite Varsity Letter.  This cartridge is a font cartridge this is PERFECT for sports themed projects....and I think this turned out real nice.  She gets TONS of complements. How cool is that!?!!

Baseball is from Sports Mania

All-Star banner is from Sports Mania
