Spice Cabinet Reorganization with Recycled Cricut cartridge boxes

Over the years I've collected many bottles of spices, food preparation assistants and other odds and ends that cluttered my spice cabinet.  One of my favorite ideas I see on pinterest is the home organization pictures, tutorials and ideas that so many creative people share.  When I decided it was time (way past time in fact) to de-clutter and go through my spice cabinet I wanted a process that was a little less complicated and would suit my need to have everything at my fingertips when preparing a meal.

Let us begin….

I pulled everything out of the cabinet before I thought to do a before and after photo for you…..BUT I'm sure you can imagine all of this "stuff".

Spring Wagon Porch Decor

Hi everyone -- Happy Spring!!

I {love} Spring -- everything is blooming and looks so pretty.

I shared my Summer, Fall and Christmas decor with you last year so I wanted to share my Spring Wagon with you this season.   I don't have a big porch to decorate but I do appreciate the space I do have and try to decorate it for each season.

I purchased the wagon at Hobby Lobby.
I absolutely love it because it has different levels and heights to decorate and put my watering can, flowers, birdhouses, and other greenery that I want to stick in there.  I am a "builder" decorator (if that makes sense).  I usually start with one thing and then build from there sticking, raising and covering as I go until I get the look I want.

As you will notice in the picture I decorate with silks.....I'm ashamed to admit that I have a BROWN thumb -- and sadly I kill all of my live plants so.... silk is the perfect color decor for me.
I love shopping Hobby Lobby's 50 % off sale and also hit the Dollar Stores as I can find some neat bright little bushes as well as odd and end greenery  :)

Teacher Appreciation Gable Box

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by....

I'm excited to share my Teacher Appreciation Gable box as part of the monthly design team project post for My Pink Stamper.  You can check out all of our projects here.

Supplies:
  • 1 - Kraft colored Gable Box - Target's Dollar Spot
  • Designer Paper in school/teacher design
  • 4 red buttons
  • black cardstock
  • yellow rick rack
  • apple die cut - Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge
  • white gelly roll pen
  • "Whisper White" ink by Stampin' Up for sentiments
  • Sentiment - "World's Best Teacher" & "I Love You, Teacher" - School Days collection by My Pink Stamper
  • various ribbons

Directions:
  • Lay gable box flat and measure paper the size you would like.  Cut with scissors or trimmer to the size around the bottom of the box.  Glue down around box. You may need to piece the paper together to get it to pattern around the box (this is what I did).
  • Measure black cardstock on angle of box and cut out with scissors; doodle with white pen, stamp one side World's Best Teacher and other side "I Love You, Teacher". Gllue onto box.
  • Glue yellow rick rack around top edge of box.
  • Cut out one apple from Doodlecharms at 1 1/2".  Doodle with white gelly roll pen. I used one pop dot to give the apple more dimension.  Place in center of box.
  • Form box
  • Add buttons with glue dots
  • Fill box with your gift, trinket, gift card or special treat.
  • Tie box closed with various coordinating ribbons.
