Something Yummy for Your Tummy Treats

Welcome to the August edition of My Pink Stamper's Design Team project day.  :)
The entire design team is creating projects with Robyn's newest stamp release so if you're stopping by my blog first you can hop over to Robyn's blog to take a quick look at all of the projects by the entire team.
For the past couple of years I have been sending a little goodie to Spencer's pre-school friends to celebrate the first day of school.  It's just a little something for each of  his friends to take home in his or her back pack.
His pre-school has class names for each age group and he is in the "Ocean Treasures" class.  I know that "goldfish" do not live in the Ocean but other fish do and I thought goldfish crackers would be a fun snack the kids would enjoy.  I put some goldfish crackers in a baggie and tied on this super adorable tag.  I had 15 to make so I was able to do a little "extra" including doodling and embossing the body of the fish with my cuttlebug.

  • white tag (I used a blank index card) folded in half
  • gold fish - "Create-a-Critter" by Cricut cut 1.75
  • I used the "Hide Contour" feature on my Gypsy to hide the one eye on the fish so I could draw my own with my black marker, I added chalk for cheeks, black markers for doodling as well as my white gelly roll pen
  • "Tiny Mosaics" Cuttlebug folder for fish body
  • For the waves on the card I used my blue Copic marker and also used a blue maker to draw the circles (bubbles) for the fish.
  • Sentiment "Something Yummy for your Tummy"My Pink Stamper {yummy-licious set}
  • Jute (or twine) string to attach tag to plastic bag
  • For inside of bag I used the sentiment "Welcome" My Pink Stamper {yummy-licous set}
  • "1st Day of School" My Pink Stamper {School Days set}

Quick Card….

Yesterday I showed you the altered journals I created for Spencer's teacher and classroom aide {view those here} and today I wanted to share the little cards I created to go along with the gift.  I had him write his name in the lower section.

Simple. simple. simple is what these cards are…..:)

Each card measures 3.50 x 7" folded in half (making it a 3.50" x 3.50" card).

 Supplies:
  • Blue cardstock (for card base)
  • boy and 2 girls digital images by Scrappin' Doodles (designed and printed from computer)
  • circle font - BaaBaaBook
  • white galaxy marker and ink for shading.
  • Inside of card - "Wishing you a great year" - School Days set by My Pink Stamper
  • 3 inch scalloped punch (polka dot paper)

Did you know that My Pink Stamper has a "Handmade with love by…" stamp on the "Friends and Family" stamp set?  It's the perfect addition to your handmade projects to let the recieptent know who is was lovingly created by.  Click here to check out that entire set and find a retailer here to grab one for yourself.

{ Altered Journals } for Teacher's Gifts

I've been wanting to play around with some altered journals for sometime now -- I see so many cute designs and almost everyone makes them look so super simple -- so when I found these I knew I would give it a try.  I found the journals at Family Dollar (love that store), the flap (where the name is) has a "magnet" closure - super simple to use.  It then opens like a book with lots of pages with lines inside.

I made these for Spencer's new pre-school teacher and classroom aide for him to give as a gift on the first day of school.  Just as a "welcome and wishing you a great year" kind of gift.  I {love} how they turned out.

These were purchased (covered) in the designs you see here -- I just added the white vinyl and tags.  :)

 Supplies
  • white vinyl
  • font for vinyl ~ "Pooh Font" by Cricut
  • boy and 2 girls digital images by Scrappin' Doodles
  • font for circle - Baa Baa Book
  • sentiment - "Teach a Child * Change a life" (designed printed on my computer)
  • 3 inch scalloped punch
  • 3 inch circle punch
  • ink and pens for doodling

I'd LOVE to hear what you think about my first altered journal!
I hope you find them inspirational.

Repurposed Cowboy Tag

For Spencer's birthday party last week I made signs for the various drinks like sweet tea, soda, bottled water, juice boxes so the guests would know what was in each ice chest.  Since his theme was a cowboy party I printed just a simple cowboy onto white cardstock to tie the theme together.

After the party was over I had all of these signs that were too good to just throw away and thought I could use the printed cowboy for something else, so I saved them…..  Here is what I did with one of them.  I cut out the cowboy (from the white cardstock), adhered it to some brown cardstock and added a little tag using a couple of sentiments from My Pink Stamper's Boy Crazy stamp set (Yee Haw and Have a Super Birthday) To attach to the gift bag I used jute twine.  I think it looks adorable…..and I knew I'd find another use for them. ☺

I like the length of the tag -- it really adds character to the entire gift bag.  :)

{Personalized} Teacher Classroom Wreath

{Click here for the T.G.I.F. Linky Party}

During my craft show days I created lots of personalized items including many of these {personalized} wreaths for teacher's classrooms.  I proudly say that lots of area teachers have one of these personalized wreaths to grace their classroom door or inside their class room or something similar.  I try to make each one a little different using various ribbons and embellishments or changing the color of the banner board {border} color…..but this design/layout is the most popular including the banner, 2 apples and chalkboard.
Now….I only create these by special request and had a kindergarten teacher contact me to create one for her classroom this year --
I hope you don't mind me sharing…
Each wreath features wood cut outs *by Mr. CJToo* and I hand paint everything you see (except the chalkboard I purchase at the craft store) I also do lots of doodling with my paint brushes and black marker.  I attach the finished wood to a grapevine wreath using wire.  I also like to give my finished projects a glossy look so I use a high gloss sealer.
My bus is cut from Cricut - Stretch You Imagination at 1 1/2"
Thanks for stopping by today everyone!
Big Hugs!
♥Tracy

Simple Cowboy Party Goodie Bags

Hi everyone and Happy Sunday!

I wanted to share some simple goodie bags I created for Spencer's 5th birthday party that we recently celebrated.  For the past 3 birthdays this child has wanted a cowboy "themed" party -- he is a cowboy at heart and since I don't mind at all -- I was okay with it.  I needed to make about 40 goodie bags so I wanted something simple that I could mass produce…..yet nice.  Goodie bags are one of my favorite crafting projects to create!    I get all "giddy" inside.  :) ….

Back to School & 1st Day of School Goodie Bags

Hi everyone -- I know by now you are a bit pooped from going through the entire blog hop but I thank you for hanging in with us and hopping over here to CJToo's blog…as you participate in our monthly Pink-alicous Blog Hop spotlighting My Pink Stamper's® Products!.:)

You should have hopped over from Ms. Shelley's blog.
------

A little about me!
My name is Tracy, aka Craft Junkie Too (I call myself CJToo for short).

I live in Texas with my hubby and 2 boys who are very supportive of my crafty side.
I work full time for a state of Texas facility that is home to close to 350 people living with developmental disabilities.  Even though I work in the administration office and not directly "hands on"... it doesn't matter -- the people I serve have my ♥ each and every day!
I am trilled to be on my 2nd term as a Pink Designer for Robyn, My Pink Stamper.  I fully support her in her business ventures and love designing and creating with her products.  I had the privilege of meeting Robyn at the Texas Stampede in March 2011 and I can tell you she is as sweet in person as she is online.  :) :)

A little about my crafting style -- I love to doodle, shade, ink up, and make cute faces.  I wouldn't call myself a girly - girl but I do love the girly stuff for the most part lots of pinks, greens, and fun colors.  My projects will most always be bright colors, doodling with black and white markers/pens and lots of specialized projects as when I make a project as a gift for someone I think about what that person likes, is "in" to or what would make them happy.  I also love to personalize my projects and make them unique.

Welcome to the August edition of the Pink-alicous Blog Hop!!

----------------------

For my projects I am spotlighting the fan-tabulous School Days stamp set -- I love every one of the sets that Robyn designs but I have a very soft spot for teachers and kiddo's so I love this set.
