*Crazy about You* Valentine Card featuring Smiley Cards -- #145

Hi everyone....sorry I've been MIA all week but I've been so busy with other "life" stuff and didn't have much time for crafting.  I was definitely having crafting withdrawls so I am happy I was able to spend some time in my craft room and whip up something for you.   :)

I created this card using the Smiley Cards Cricut cartridge.  This cartridge is an Gypsy exclusive meaning it can't be purchased....it can only be downloaded onto your Gypsy in a digital download.  Click (here) to see if you qualify.  There is also the Smiley Cards handbook available (here).  Ü

:: Love is in the Air :: Blog Hop - Valentine's Day Projects!

Hi everyone and welcome to the "Love is in the Air" Blog Hop hosted by my good friend and CJToo Design Team member Ms. Amber at Staying Crafty.  If you arrived from Ms. Linda's blog ....you are on the right trail.  If you want to start at the beginning....start here
Today's projects is all about showing off the adorable stamps created by Samantha of  SP & Company  and I am super excited that Amber asked me to play along today.  The stamp set I am getting to play with for today's projects is the super adorable Candy Hearts set.  I love Valentine's Day, the reds, whites, pinks and all the "stuff" that goes into it.  I used to think Valentine's Day was just a day for couples but nope....not anymore....it's a special day to express to those you love just how much they mean to you.  This can be anyone from your spouse, kids, friends, family, co-workers...etc.  I just love it.  I also love to make goodie bags for my kids classes.

I decided to make 2 totally different projects using the same stamp set.  I wanted to show you how versatile you can make valentine's day projects by using different paper and embellishments.  :)  The first one shows a more sophisticated set you can use for a BFF, sister, mother or friend.  The second project shows you some yummy bag toppers just in time to get those goodies together for classes or neighbor kids.

::The Card::

::The Purse::

Recipe:
Purse:

Project #2 ~ Conversation Heart Bag Toppers

Recipe:

Tracy ~ CraftJunkieToo

My name is Tracy or Craft Junkie Too (CJToo for short) - I live in Texas with my hubby and 2 sons.  I work full time for a State of Texas facility that offers services to over 300 mentally challenged individuals so most of my crafty time is in the evenings or week-ends.  I've been crafting since I was a teen-ager doing everything from cross stitch to wood craft painting; I discovered the Cricut about 2 years ago and I never dreamed the world and friendships it would introduce me to.  It's sooo cool! I have adopted a LOVE for papercrafting and most enjoy designing cards, home decor and treat/goodie bags.  I love to teach the steps of my projects through video tutorials and try to upload project video's when I can. You can view my YouTube channel here.  My 4 year old loves to "craft" with me so you may see him or hear him in my crafty video's.  :) He's a hoot!

For my project I've decided to replenish my stash of *girlie* Birthday Cards.    I try to keep some cards on hand to pull out when I need a quick card.  Robyn's "Punnylicious" stamps are a fan favorite so visit her products page to order some if you don't already have them in your stash.

  • Cardstock - Papertrey Ink
  • Designer paper - Hobby Lobby
  • Create-a-Critter cartridge

Winter Thyme Projects

Hi everyone - Happy Wednesday!  BRRRRRR....is it cold where you are?  It is definitely cold here in my area of Texas - yes, winter is here...here.... here....---- we've had to pull out the big winter coats, mittens and stocking caps.....brrrrrrr!!!  To warm you up a little I  am so excited to share some Winter Thyme projects with you today......from me and a few of my CJToo friends!

Here is mine.....my Primitive Country Snowman Hanger.....

+++++++++++++++++

Didn't she turn out so sweet?

I used chipboard and cut the snowman out of Winter Woodland at 10 1/2 inches
using my deep cut blade
I then cut out the same snowman 1 time on the antique white crackled paper by Paper Pizzaz
brown chalk ink around edges of snowman
I wanted to make a "faux" wood hanger and the thickness of the chipboard gives me that effect.
The "faux" blanket stitching is using my black sharpie marker
pink gltter adore her hat brim and ball
I hand drew the face using black and orange markers with a white gel pen for the dots of her eyes
I hand wrote "Winter Thyme" and continued with my doodling over the sign
The small pink snowflakes are actually a mini punch
bling completes the middle of the snowflake
the hanger is using hemp cord tied in a knot

You can hang this lil' girl anywhere....on the wall, door knob, hook, peg, shelf, hutch, etc.

.......ARE YOU READY FOR MORE???? YAY!!
