{Back to School} Let's Roll into School Teacher Gift with Tag Printable

For this year's "Meet the Teacher" night I wanted to create a special gift for Spencer's Kindergarten teacher.  I really like to personalize my gifts so that they can keep them for years to come.  This is what I came up with this year.  Each side is decorated in a school themed image.  I love "play on words" so I created the Let's Roll into School tag because I was filling the jar with Tootsie Rolls.  ☺

I found this square glass jar at Dollar Tree.  I really liked the size and thought of so many ways to decorate it.  Decisions! Decisions!

Here is my supplies.

I wrapped Washi Tape around the outside of my glass jar.
Works WONDERFUL!

To decorate the outside of the jar ~ I decided to cut out vinyl images on my Cricut and layered them on each side of the glass jar.
Apple & School Bus ~ Doodlecharms by Cricut
ABC ~ Recess Lite by Cricut
Chalkboard ~ George and Basic Shapes by Cricut
(I used 2 rounded rectangles making one a little smaller to fit inside)

Side 1 with Chalkboard
Side 2 with Apple
Side 3 with School Bus -- personalized with School Name!
Check out my "blingy" hubcaps - (love)
Side 4 - ABC letters
I filled a plastic treat bag with yummy Tootsie Rolls and tied various ribbons to close the top.

Here is the tag I created to go along with the gift.   I attached it to the bag of tootsie rolls using red & white twine.

Feel free to download this free tag and use it for yourself.

{Personal use only please}

Right click and save as to your computer.
Insert into a word document or other source and print your tag.
I hope you've enjoyed today's project and thank you so much for your comments.

♥Tracy

{Back to School} - 1st Day of School Goldfish Treats with Printable

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Today I’m excited to share this adorable little Back to School Treat idea using a printed tag and goldfish crackers.  This little treat is perfect to hand out to the students on the first day or within the first few weeks of class as a way to say I’m so happy we’re in the same class. Since fish swim in "schools" I thought it would be a fun idea to share some goldfish crackers with your students or child's "school" friends. Have fun!

I think this little goldfish is just simply adorable and is the perfect cutie pie for my tag.  I found it while searching for free clip art here.

Supplies:
o   Goldfish tags (download free here) - prints best on cardstock
Pattern Paper
o   Gold fish crackers
o   Ziploc bags
o   Stapler
o   Scissors

Enjoy a free printable!
Print 10 to a page -- here
Disclaimer: I created this tag for personal use only. Please feel free to share with your kiddos or students.

Directions:
o   Print out the goldfish tags here; cut out tags using scissors. Layer onto pattern paper for extra color.
o   Have your child write his or her name on front or back of card. (i.e. Your friend, Spencer)
o   Fill Ziploc bags with goldfish – use the orange fish or mix the colored ones.
o   Staple tag to top of bag.

Hand out on the first day of school or within the first few weeks.  It will sure bring a smile to any child’s face.

Something Yummy for Your Tummy Treats

Welcome to the August edition of My Pink Stamper's Design Team project day.  :)
The entire design team is creating projects with Robyn's newest stamp release so if you're stopping by my blog first you can hop over to Robyn's blog to take a quick look at all of the projects by the entire team.
For the past couple of years I have been sending a little goodie to Spencer's pre-school friends to celebrate the first day of school.  It's just a little something for each of  his friends to take home in his or her back pack.
His pre-school has class names for each age group and he is in the "Ocean Treasures" class.  I know that "goldfish" do not live in the Ocean but other fish do and I thought goldfish crackers would be a fun snack the kids would enjoy.  I put some goldfish crackers in a baggie and tied on this super adorable tag.  I had 15 to make so I was able to do a little "extra" including doodling and embossing the body of the fish with my cuttlebug.

  • white tag (I used a blank index card) folded in half
  • gold fish - "Create-a-Critter" by Cricut cut 1.75
  • I used the "Hide Contour" feature on my Gypsy to hide the one eye on the fish so I could draw my own with my black marker, I added chalk for cheeks, black markers for doodling as well as my white gelly roll pen
  • "Tiny Mosaics" Cuttlebug folder for fish body
  • For the waves on the card I used my blue Copic marker and also used a blue maker to draw the circles (bubbles) for the fish.
  • Sentiment "Something Yummy for your Tummy"My Pink Stamper {yummy-licious set}
  • Jute (or twine) string to attach tag to plastic bag
  • For inside of bag I used the sentiment "Welcome" My Pink Stamper {yummy-licous set}
  • "1st Day of School" My Pink Stamper {School Days set}

Simple Cowboy Party Goodie Bags

Hi everyone and Happy Sunday!

I wanted to share some simple goodie bags I created for Spencer's 5th birthday party that we recently celebrated.  For the past 3 birthdays this child has wanted a cowboy "themed" party -- he is a cowboy at heart and since I don't mind at all -- I was okay with it.  I needed to make about 40 goodie bags so I wanted something simple that I could mass produce…..yet nice.  Goodie bags are one of my favorite crafting projects to create!    I get all "giddy" inside.  :) ….

Ghostly Treats Goodie Project & Video #42

No one will be scared of these ghostly little treats for halloween this year. No sir---ee!!!
They are the cutest little treats ever. Thanks to Robyn at http://www.mypinkstamper.com/for the inspiration of this project. You can visit her site to see her little ghost treats too.

I started with a coffee filter (2 in fact to avoid the lollipop wrapper color showing through) - stamped cute little peachykeenfaces from http://www.peachykeenstamps.com/and wrapped them around tootsie roll pops. I secured with curly ribbon. Cute, simple and adorable. Anyone will love to get given one of these.

Enjoy!

Here is the video on creating these cuties and all of the details.

Mark Your Calendar - Saturday October 31st ~ we're having a Halloween Booo-Log Party here at CraftJunkieToo.com. Video's, challenges and prizes. More details coming soon.
