Here is my very first card project I made using my cricut and cuttlebug. A friend and co-worker is expecting her second child soon and we're having a shower for her at work on Friday. I decided instead of getting her something she may not use or need - I would get her a gift card so that she could use it for diapers or other odd and ends she will need once the baby arrives. Even though this is a very simple card - it was a little time consuming. LOL....I know I will get faster the more familiar I become with card making.
For this project I used the following:
- royal blue and baby blue cardstock for layering by Design Studio
- blue/brown striped paper by Design Studio
- cuttlebug swiss dots (outside of card) and tiny bubbles (inside of card) embossing folders
- white tulle for the bows in the corner
- baby carriage hole punch for lower corners
- hole punches for the white dots
- Cricut cartridge, New Arrival for "It's a Boy" and Circle with feet
- Cricut cartridge, Celebrations for the scalloped circle
- blue crayon for the shading around the circle
- white crayon for squiggle lines
- pop dots to make the circle and feet "pop out" as well as my signature inside Ü
Inside the card I made a "pocket" with cardstock, embossed it with tiny bubbles using my Cuttlebug and attached it around the sides to prevent the gift card from falling out.
Again, simple and fun to make. I hope my friend likes it.
Let me know what you think by leaving me a comment.
Hugs,
Tracy
