Cricut Project ~ Video #26 - Basic Layering with Hello Kitty Greetings Cupcake
Hi everyone - I've had several requests to show some basic layering for those who may be new to layering or need a little refresher. This cupcake is from the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge and is super sweet. There are 4 basic colors and 1 pattern paper I used in this project but you can definitely use what ever you like. Other materials I used in this simple project includes skittles for the cupcake sprinkles and stickles, which is glitter glue. Instead of glueing my skittles I set them inside a dot of stickles glitter glue for the "bond" to the cupcake. The ribbon is from Michael's too.....sorry not sure it has a name.
Cannot tell you how much I LOVE your Hello Kitty cupcake! I don't own that cartridge, so my sweet girls (8 & 7 yrs) and I used the cupcake from Doodlecharms and made a bday card! Thanks for the inspiration! :-)
Awesome video. I love all the colors and glitter. I don't have any cartridges just the one I got with my cricut. i use SCAL all the time. But I am learning many new techniues from you. Thank you so much for sharing
Thanks for the video on layering. What a cute cupcake. Can I ask how you know when doing layers if you are to cut all of them at the same size as the base or like you did here where you cut the base at 5" and the layers at 5 1/2"? Thanks so much I will be back to watch more. I hope you keep making them. I am learning a lot.
Thanks for leaving me a comment ~ I looooove comments. If you have a question -- just leave it here and I'll try to respond. If not, please feel free to email me at any time. Ü

ReplyDeleteStill having issues with your videos. I can see your videos but do not hear your voice. All I hear is an instrumental version of "Love Me Tender"
I have tried watching your videos thru Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, but nothing changes.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Marilyn
