Fashionista Gift Bag Purse featuring "Girlie Doodles" by My Pink Stamper

Hi everyone and welcome to monthly design team post for My Pink Stamper.  Today we are all sharing fabulous projects featuring the brand new Girlie Doodles image stamps and Girlie Sayings sentiment stamps.  How fun!  

With a few simple supplies you can turn a plain lime green sack into a fashionable purse that holds a gift card inside. Your friends will all be swooning over this fashionable gift.  

Stamps

• “Fashionista” & “Purse-nally the best”~  Girlie Sayings by My Pink Stamper
• “Purse” doodle on front flower & “Happy Birthday” Girlie Doodles by My Pink Stamper

Supplies

- lime green shiny gift sack 6” x 11” (click here to view)

- adhesive

- large felt flower

- pink jewel

- brown, pink and lime green ribbons

- decorative scissors

- 4 teal brads & 2 brown brads

Markers & Ink

• brown marker
• ProMarkers, pink &  lime green (click here to view)
• My Pink Stamper Darkest Night black ink
• charcoal gray ink

Paper

- flowered scrapbook paper by K&Company.

- white card stock

Punches

• 1 1/2” circle punch (click here to view)

Directions:

• Cut edge of bag with decorative scissors.  Use glue to seal bag shut (from top opening).
• Cut scrapbook paper the size you’d like and bend over each corner; attach a brad for extra decoration.
• Stamp purse image with darkest night black ink onto white card stock, color with ProMarkers, cut image out with scissors.
• Using 1 1/2” punch - punch out one circle in white.  Using “Fashionista” stamp curve to fit and stamp onto circle.  Ink edges with charcoal gray and make dashes using brown marker.  Glue pink jewel in center.  Attach to center of pink felt flower and attach flower to front of bag.  Loop purse strap around petal of flower and attach a glue dot to keep in place.
• Working on the bottom of the bag refer to picture for exact placement of stamps, brads and scrapbook paper.  The bottom flap of the bag provides a nice “pocket” for my gift card.  
• “Purse-nally the best” from Girlie Sayings and “Happy Birthday” from Girlie Images by My Pink Stamper. 
• Attach ribbons for “strap of bag purse”.  
• You can use a glue dot, pop up dot or velcro to keep the purse closed.

Black & Turquoise Zebra Gift Bag Tutorial

Hi everyone! 

Today I want to share how I created the Black & Turquoise Zebra Birthday Bag I shared with you last week. 

Last week I showed you a project using the fabulous Birthday Doodles stamp set from My Pink Stamper.  This stamp set is only available by purchasing the Birthday Doodles kit which includes everything you see below. Sold exclusively at Shop Pumpkin Spice. 

I usually purchase the Celebrate It bags when Michael’s has them on sale.  They come is a variety of colors and sizes. 

Black and Turquoise Zebra Gift Bag

Create a fabulous gift bag for the Diva in your life or just change up the colors to create the perfect bag!

Supplies:

·         Black bag ~ Celebrate It (Michaels)

·         Black/turquoise zebra scrapbook paper (Hobby Lobby)

·         Turquoise glitter paper (Target)

·         White cardstock

·         Image stamp & Sentiment stamp – Birthday Doodles by My Pink Stamper (Shop Pumpkin Spice)

·         Pink jewel embellishments

·         Blank ink stamp pad & glass block

·         Punches ~ Real Estate Sign by EK Success (sentiment), Flourish Square (glitter paper behind sentiment)

·         Hot pink rick rack

·         Pink ribbon

·         Flowers – pink (1) & black (1)

·         Brad (teal color)

·         Pop dots

·         Markers for coloring (shopping bag) – black, teal, pink,

·         Copic colorless blender pen to make shading effects on bag.

1.       Stamp shopping bag image on white cardstock.  Color with markers & shade with colorless blender pen.  Cut out this image with scissors leaving ¼” around image.  Adhere to a square of glitter paper and cut out leaving another ¼” of glitter paper. Put aside.

2.      I cut apart my “Happy Birthday” sentiment in ½ so I could use it top and bottom. (yes, you can do this *smiles*) Stamp in black ink onto white cardstock.  Punch out using the Real Estate Sign punch.

3.      Using a pop dot attach the sentiment to the glitter paper.  I found the pop dots stick very well to glitter paper.  Set aside.

4.      Lay bag flat and measure zebra paper the size you’d like for front of bag.  Trim to size and adhere to front of bag.

5.      Attach a piece of pink zig zag ribbon; refer to photo for placement.

6.      Attach sentiment and shopping bag with pop dots onto front of bag; refer to photo for placement.

7.      Embellish with pink jewels.

8.      Place gift inside.

9.      Close with pink ribbon (I stapled to bag), attach flowers using brad.

Confirmation Princess Gift Bag

I created this gift bag for my niece to celebrate her Confirmation and thought I'd share it with you as an inspiration for other projects.

In addition to Confirmation….you could use this "idea" for many other occasions like First Communion, Wedding or other special events by changing the colors of the bag, dress and other embellishments.

I started with a white lunch bag like this….

Then……..cut off top portion of the bag (this will depend on what size you cut your princess).This is the border punch I used for top of bag ~ Treading Water by Fiskars

* My princess was cut from Once Upon a Princess cartridge by Cricut….

* Dress is white glitter paper, brown ink for edges.

* Princess hair is cut from Paper Doll Dress Up, Cuttlebug Distressed Stripes folder and brown ink for shading and inking around edges of hair.

Repurposed Cowboy Tag

For Spencer's birthday party last week I made signs for the various drinks like sweet tea, soda, bottled water, juice boxes so the guests would know what was in each ice chest.  Since his theme was a cowboy party I printed just a simple cowboy onto white cardstock to tie the theme together.

After the party was over I had all of these signs that were too good to just throw away and thought I could use the printed cowboy for something else, so I saved them…..  Here is what I did with one of them.  I cut out the cowboy (from the white cardstock), adhered it to some brown cardstock and added a little tag using a couple of sentiments from My Pink Stamper's Boy Crazy stamp set (Yee Haw and Have a Super Birthday) To attach to the gift bag I used jute twine.  I think it looks adorable…..and I knew I'd find another use for them. ☺

Birthday Bag for Fireman's Birthday! Video #167

Hi everyone ~ 

I'm here to show you another Designer tutorial using an ADORABLE digital image by Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
 I created this birthday bag using Fireman Peyton (colored) for a special little boy who is turning 3 years old soon and is having a big - ole - fireman - themed - birthday - party.  How perfect is this little guy!!!  The best thing is that I created the front of the bag in a way that the mom (who is a huge scrapbooker) can disassemble the front of the bag and use the entire page from the bag for the little birthday boy's scrapbook later on.   


You can get the image in colored format or the line drawings and you can use your markers or pencils to add your own colors.  Check out the digi store for more images.

#130 - U Rock Chick

Hi everyone and Happy Veteran's Day 2010.  Thank you to everyone who has served and given their lives for our country.  God Bless you and your families.

Last month I showed you this adorable *rockin'* card I made for my friend Jen's birthday (it was October 22nd).  I filmed this video and totally forgot to edit and upload it......geez.....  (I'm getting old, I guess" LOL LOL!) 

Anyhoo's - this is a video of the U Rock Chick card I made for Jen {here}.

You Rock Chick!

Happy Friday!

Here is a card I made for my friend who is celebrating her birthday today!  Happy Birthday Jen! 

• Card - 6" w x 5" h
• Cartridge: - Rock Princess
• Sentiment: U Rock Chick - Rock Princess (U welded to Rock Chick in my Gypsy)
• Embellishments: Prima's, black trim, black/white dot brad, white and black pens
• Face:  Peachy Keen Stamps - #640 Princess Face Assortment
• Bling: "notice her tiara, dress and belt" - craft store
• Punch: Apron Lace by Fiskars
• Gift Bag & Tissue:  Wal-Mart

Also, I am showing you how I gift bagged her gift (top photo).  I positioned her card over the gift bag so it will show on the outside (back flap is inside the bag and front flap is shown on outside).  This is a super way to show off your card and has a dual purpose of decoration as well.  It is enjoyed by all!  :)

I do have a video that I will post at a later time....just need to edit and upload to YouTube.  Sorry this picture isn't the best - but I took it with my iPhone....LOL

Craft Junkie Too's Gift Bag Storage Space

I hope you don't mind 2 posts in one night.....Ü

Here are just a few of my storage ideas that work for me. I am true to my name.....no matter how much I try to organize my things - it's a craft room and as my little sign on my wall says
"I'm Crafty...You can't expect me to be neat too!" HA!

Anyhoo's - I am fortunate to have a craft room and I will take pictures of it for you one day too - but like my husband says - If I give you an inch you take a mile...meaning that if there is space available I figure out how to use it to benefit me. I purchased the over the door wire shoe rack from Wal-Mart and this is what I use to hang my gift bags on. I know it doesn't look very (from the picture).... organized - but I promise it is. I have my solid bag colors together and my themed/holiday bags. Christmas bags are in a whole tub all by themselves under my bed. For birthdays and other special occassions I love brown kraft and white bags as well as gingham so I use lots of those. Behind the rack I have another over the door plastic shoe rack (I picked it up for 5 bucks at Wal-Greens) and this is what I use to put my tissue paper in. Each pocket stores one or several packs of tissue and I can see at a glance what I want to use. Anyhoo's - these first few pictures are ones of my gift bag and tissue storage unit. I hope that it gives someone else ideas who may be limited on space. Check back soon as I will be posting more pictures of my storage space and craft room including my ribbon & paint storage racks. Sometimes when you have oranges - you make orange juice and I just love my crafting space. Ü

My First Project Post

I've recently purchased a Cricut Expression and LUV' IT. I dream about all of the projects it will do and can't wait to discover them. I find this new machine very challenging and search and hunt the web for blogs, video's, message boards, etc. to help me "learn" this new machine. One of my favorite blogs with tutorials is The Pink Stamper. She has awesome tutorials and is very helpful in guiding us in learning my new buddy.

Anyhoo's - I have a long way to go to master this machine but here is one of my first Cricut projects. My niece turned 10 recently and she loves to make cards and create doo dads. I found a lot of hole punches, stamps and scissors at Michael's and Hobby Lobby so put this like tote together for her; the purpose of the tote is to keep all of her stuff organized and she can carry it from her room to the table, etc. What do you think? Here is a picture with some of the items inside....


What I did:
The tote I found at Wal-Mart for $2.50, I decorated it with various peel and stick fun foam shapes. These were pre-cut when I bought them "pre-Cricut". LOL - Yes, the Cricut can cut fun foam shapes too. Oh, I'm so excited. Anyhoo's, I also personalized the top of the tote with here name and Stamps & Stuff. I also tied various ribbons around the handle to give it a "girlie" touch and waaaa laaa.
Also, the gift bag tag is made on my Cricut using the Tear Drop cartridge.
Fun, Fun, Fun! To my delight, my niece loves it. Ü
