Easter Deco Mesh Wreath with Video Tutorial

I've tried staying away from getting into anymore crafting projects that would require that I purchase all new supplies (because I can't purchase just a few) in view of the fact that I have a boat load of crafting supplies in my craft room already.  (insert BUT HERE) ~  the true craft junkie comes out in me when my sister talked me into making her one of these Deco Mesh wreaths for her home that I will show another time.  Deco Mesh has been around for a little time but appears to be the rage in crafting decor right now…..(insert sigh) Yes, I caught the bug and had to make one for me too.  In Spring and Easter colors of course.  
I hope you like it as much as I do. 

….and I have a SURPRISE for you all -- yes,  video with picture tutorial.  I know I've been slacking in the video tutorials lately -- but please know that I have not given them up….stay tuned.

Happy Easter Scrapbook Pages

Hello and welcome to the March 2012 edition of the Design Team projects hosted by My Pink Stamper.  I hope you enjoy our projects, tips, tricks and techniques we have for you!    

Each month the entire receives the same assignment which may include theme, type of project, color combo etc. and this month our assignment was to incorporate the colors green, yellow and blue into any project type.  


For my project….I chose to complete a scrapbook page(s) because I REALLY want to get more into scrapbooking my family…..for my pages below….you may notice the simplicity of my pages because I've made the decision that "less is better" -- meaning I don't need to spend hours making one page that I lose interest.  Simple pages with a simple theme to enhance my pictures on the pages.  I'm giving this approach a try -- so you may see more scrapbook pages here.  :)

"He has Risen" Goodie Bags for Pre-School Class

Hi everyone!  


Easter is another favorite holiday for my family and it is a time we focus on doing more for others and less for ourselves -- just like Jesus gave His life for.  The More Faithful Sayings stamp set by My Pink Stamper is just what I needed to make these adorable treat bags below.  I was TOTALLY thrilled to see the "He has Risen" stamp included on this set.  This is what I know each and every day of my life.  This stamp set totally ROCKs!


I created these goodie bags for Spencer's classmates and a few friends.  I hope you enjoy them.  If this project looks a little familiar it may be because I was totally inspired to use the little faces on my eggs just like I did for my Easter Eggs Family Card.  Thank you all so very much for your super sweet feedback on that project.  :) 


For this project:


I started with plain white envelopes, sealed the back and cut the envelope in half (making 2 pockets).

• I started with plain white envelopes (letter size), sealed the back and cut the envelope in half to make 2 separate pockets.
• The eggs were cut from the Easter 2010 cricut cartridge at 1 3/4".
• Grass is also cut from the Easter 2010 cricut cartridge at 2 " -- white Galaxy marker for doodling.
• Blue Egg - Everyday Character Assortment by Peachy Keen Stamps
• Pink Egg - Happy Lashes by Peachy Keen Stamps
• I used my white gelly roll pen for white of eyes and chalk for the rosy red cheeks.

• Using my Imagine I pulled the cross from the Easter 2010 cricut cartridge and flood-filled it with a pattern paper from the Imagine cartridge - Country Carnival -- page 49.  The cross is cut at 4.6 
• I used a brown marker to make the doodling on the cross.
• "He has Risen" and He Lives stamps are from the More Faithful Sayings by My Pink Stamper.

• I added an orange ribbon to each bag for a handle.  You can insert it on each side of the inside of the envelope (I attached it with snail adhesive).  

I really think Spencer's classmates will love them.....especially that the "boy egg" is winking at the "girl" egg - HA!

Bunny Fell into Jelly Beans Pot Project - #160

Hi everyone -- 


I am definitely in the "Easter crafts" making spirit and have another project to share with you.  

I've made these cutie patootie's for years when I was out doing the Spring craft shows and would simply sell out every - single - show.  No matter if it was a kiddo or an adult everyone would just fall in love with the simple little guy (or gal).  In the video I show you step by step so I hope you enjoy it!  

Supplies

clay pot (I used a small one like 1 1/2" tall)

pom pom (1 large and one med/small)

fun foam to draw feet

hot glue gun works the best

for the feet -- draw a heart and them cut off the tip of the bottom of the heart.  Bring the paws to life with a black marker and pink chalk.  

Add jellybeans to a plastic bag and tada -- you have an instant gift.  Enjoy!

Crafty Designers Design Team Day ~ "Eggs-tra Special" 4/13/11

Hi everyone and Welcome to another Crafty Designers Design Team post showing you projects from my wonderful Design Team.  Amber, Cheryl, Katie and I have created projects for your Easter inspiration.

Easter Bucket Party Favors for Toddlers Class

I am one of the party mom's for my toddler's Easter party on Thursday. Me, along with another mom are coordinating the gathering and she offered to do the snacks so I offered to do the candy filled eggs for the egg hunt and the goodie baskets as a party favor for each child to take home at the end of the day. Of course, this was right down my alley and of course I wait until the day before the party to get my stuff to put it all together. I work best under pressure. HA!

I think they turned out CUTE!

I found these pastel colored cups at the dollar store and thought "that will work for a basket". I think they are a measuring cup but hey, it works!*&!@# Ü

Anyhoo's, I filled the bucket with goodies including candy, bubbles, a wiggly straw, a bunny pencil, small notebook and a whistle. I also included some side walk chalk in a separate lil' baggie so it wouldn't rub off on the other goodies. I then filled the cup/basket with easter grass and my basket was complete. Simple yes, and expensive too. Thank goodness I only had to do 8.

Now for the decorating part around the cup. I was anxious to use my Cricut so I pulled out my Doodlecharms cartridge and cut out the bunny at 4 1/2 inches on white cardstock using the blackout key function. This way I would not get any cuts on my bunny just a smooth clean cut around the bunny shape. His cute nose is a heart punch that I put on a pop dot to give it a little deminsion - cut out of pastel pink cardstock. For his cheeks I just used pink chalk and smoothed out the circles and ears. I then doodled some eyes, eyebrows, wiskers and a mouth with a black sharpie. I am a crafter and do a lot of things free handed. So - none of these 8 bunnies are the same. I then used double stick tape and pop dots to stick the bunny to the bucket. I pulled out my colored sharpie markers and doodled Happy Easter and swiggles around the cup. Taaaa Daaaa.... my Easter Goodie Party Favor Buckets for my toddlers Easter party on Thursday.
